We're pleased to announce the arrival into the KeeNeR fold of Don Schuster as of June 13. Don will be manning the switchboard after 6:00 o'clock in the evening. B & B Productions might like to branch out so this is to advise that Don is a tap dancer.

Also, Gary Kolasa, who has been a part-time employee while finishing his college education, now joins us as a full-time news trainee.

The KeeNeR Dream Car has been built and was on display in the front of the station Monday, June 18.

Mr. and Mrs. Patterson spent a four-day weekend in New York this past week celebrating Mrs. Patterson's birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Requests for servicemen's tapes continue to come in and as of this writing 289 tapes have been sent out since the first of the year.

Speaking of servicemen, Carole Wiedeman is on pins and needles in anticipation of her son Jim's arrival home on leave from the Air Force Wednesday night or Thursday morning. When his leave is over, he will be heading for Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass came to Detroit for a one-night stand in Cobo Hall Monday, June 17, and Paul Cannon was MC for the show.

Starting next week, 200,000 bumper stickers will be made available to KeeNeR listeners through a special promotion with 500 Sunoco gas stations.

As you can see from the wide margins, we need more news items so somebody get out and do something or it will be recipe time again!
